What is a Passkey?
A Passkey lets you log in securely without needing a password. Instead, you’ll use your device’s biometric methods – like Face ID or a fingerprint – or your device PIN.
Unlike traditional passwords, Passkeys:
- Can’t be phished or stolen
- Aren’t stored on servers
- Are unique to your device
- Make login faster and easier
It’s the same secure technology used by Apple, Google, and Microsoft – and it's now available in IQWealth.
Supported Devices
Passkeys work on devices using:
- iOS 16 or later
- Android 9 or later
- Windows 10 or later
- macOS 13 or later
How to enable a Passkey for secure login on the IQ Wealth mobile app
To set up a Passkey on your device, please follow these steps:
- Open the IQ Wealth app on your mobile device.
- Enter your email address and password - if you don't have these saved, please contact us and we can facilitate a password reset.
- When prompted, click Register a Passkey.
- The device will ask you for Face ID, your fingerprint or your device's PIN.
- Once this has been verified click Got It to add the Passkey to your login.
How to log in using your Passkey
To log into IQ Wealth using your new Passkey, please follow these steps:
- Open the IQ Wealth app on your mobile device.
- Look for the box displaying your name, profile photo and last login.
- Click on your account name button to login using the passkey for this account.
- The authentication method appears, tap Continue.
- Once authenticated, this will log you in to the IQ Wealth homepage.
How to add a Passkey if you have clicked Set Up Later
To add a Passkey without the prompt, please follow these steps:
- Open the IQ Wealth app on your mobile device.
- Enter your email address and password - if you don't have these saved, please contact us and we can facilitate a password reset.
- Tap the person icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap My Account.
- Tap My Passkeys.
- Tap the gold + button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Authenticate using Face ID, your fingerprint or your device's PIN.
- Click Continue.
- The new Passkey will reflect in the Passkey section.
How to delete a Passkey
To delete a Passkey, please follow these steps:
- Open the IQ Wealth app on your mobile device.
- Enter your email address and password - if you don't have these saved, please contact us and we can facilitate a password reset.
- Tap the person icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap My Account.
- Tap My Passkeys.
- Tap the bin icon.
- Follow the steps above to re-add a new Passkey.
